Quests Underwater! Review

Here I am back again with another review of SecretGameDeveloper's underwater-themed game series. Over a year ago; I talked about the game 'Underwater Adventure!', the first UW game released by SGD. In the last Christmas; he gave us a good holiday present; his second UW game, which is called 'Quests Underwater'.

The first thing that stands out to me is the fact that the developer seems to have ventured out a little when it comes to game mechanics. The first game follows a straight story line; while this one has a RPG open-world template.

The game is constructed on a virtual world map in which you can wander around and visit places with various cultural and climactic aspects such as desert, cold, volcanic, rainy etc. area and meet original characters from different nations.

The main protagonists of this game are Rosangela, Himawari and Leandro. We mainly control the first two. The game begins with Leandro in control; where we get to see the backstory. Rosangela is rescued by Leandro from a house on fire caused by a pirate assault, and later they see a drowning girl in the sea who is rescued by Rosangela. The three eventually form a team to become 'Underwater Treasure Hunters'. Throughout the game; we pursue the tasks assigned by Leandro. It's very important to save our earnings in this game for the extra part.

SGD's games also include inspirational messages conveyed to the audience, apart from catering to primary UW pleasures. From my own point of view; the first game's message was ambition and strong will. This game seems to emphasize on humility with a creative way of showing how arrogance and overconfidence are flawed concepts as can be seen in this scene from the screenshot below:

Everyone has weaknesses. No one is perfect. Yet some humans are unable to understand that.

When it comes to the extra part; you need to unlock all these characters and see the whole thing. Don't miss any stuff.

SGD has made two nice games for the community. He has creativity as can be seen in his games, and deserves respect and appreciation. I wish all the best to him and hopefully he will build a good career.

To play this game; you need to download this tool first: http://tkool.jp/support/download/rpgvxace/rtp
